(Nuclear) Wessels - Kiki de Montparnasse
Not all of Jonathan Adler's work appeals to me but this always has.
So very Artemis of Ephesus.

Blackwork
I was familiar with blackwork thanks to my Tudor/Elizabethan fad days back in high school. Interest was recently rekindled when I stumbled upon the biscornu, which seems a very good candidate medium for it.
100 Blackwork Charts by Lynn Skinner is in the mail.
I found this book on the website of Leon Conrad. His designs seem to be the most beautiful contemporary but traditional ones to be found. I would love to try one of his kits sometime but I would like to incorporate it into something practical like a cushion or, ahem, a biscornu.

Biscornus are just lovely enough and diverse enough to garner their own post.

Bareable Bentos
Photo from Oliebollen
Finally found one of these Shinzi Katoh bentos!
Sam needs to start taking fingerfoods to school for snacks. I want to plant the bento seed earlier, for him and for me.
It is really difficult to find a small bento with compartments. It is even harder to find one that is not overly cutesy-wutsey. The idea of three rabbits on a road trip makes me laugh (Look out Jack Kerou-rabbit!).
Good online bento retailers:
Superbuzzy (Be sure to check out her "Drink Much Like An Elephant" offering!)
Amazon (really!)
Ebay

Casa Bento
And, of course, Biggie's Blog for more sources and information
